Description and curator notes
This complete Tamil digital collection places Bharati’s Kali poems within a wider body of devotional verse. The sustained goddess sequence includes songs to Kali, a hymn, appeals for spiritual power, an offering of the self, the dance of dissolution, and praise of Mahakali. Its range allows readers to follow the connections among the poet’s language of Mother, Sakti, fearlessness, creative power, and liberation, rather than encountering one isolated lyric. The collection also contains poems to other divine figures; their presence is part of Bharati’s literary setting and does not make every poem Kali-specific. The edition numbers its contents through poem 78 and ends with poems on Jesus and Allah. A single catalog record represents the full collection. Individual Kali poems can be indexed as passages within it without multiplying the source count. The Tamil text is searchable and the project supplies explicit conditions for distributing the electronic file with its header intact.
