Description and curator notes
A complete Malayalam devotional composition attributed to Narayana Guru, presented in the flowing dandaka form. Its invocation develops a sustained vision of the goddess through cosmic activity, her bodily and ornamental attributes, and the devotee’s appeal for compassion and release. The text is especially valuable for widening the library beyond Bengali and Sanskrit sources and for studying Kali in Kerala’s modern religious literature. The digital page dates the composition to 1887–1897; that range is an editorial statement, not a newly established date for a surviving manuscript. The transcript should be compared with a scholarly printed edition when exact readings matter.
