Description and curator notes

Nārāyaṇa Guru’s eight-verse hymn presents Bhadrakālī through compassionate maternal qualities alongside fierce power. Praise evokes her beauty, protection of devotees, and defeat of Dārika, a narrative especially important in southern Bhadrakālī traditions. The work provides a named modern author within an otherwise largely anonymous Sanskrit collection and helps trace the continued composition of Sanskrit Kālī devotion beyond the medieval tantric corpus.
