Description and curator notes
Bhairava asks Devī for a protective hymn, and her reply assigns protection to Kālī and an ordered group of associated powers. Kapālinī, Kullā, Kurukullā, Virodhinī, and others occupy directions or parts of the body. This makes the short text especially useful for interpreting names shared with Kālī’s litany as figures in a ritual retinue, while preserving the distinction between these powers and independent goddess traditions.
