Description and curator notes

A vivid hymn in bhujangaprayāta metre traditionally placed in Rāvaṇa’s preparations for victory. Kāmakalākālī appears in a charnel-ground setting with fierce female attendants, weapons, skulls, and the imagery of dissolution. Praise also presents her as a supreme refuge capable of granting desired ends. The text is valuable for comparing the visual and theological language of Kāmakalākālī with other forms of Kālī.
