Description and curator notes
A protective hymn associated with Kālī of the cremation ground. Its ritual framing combines visualization of the fierce Goddess with a sequence of protective invocations and promised benefits. The colophon identifies it as the enemy-dispelling kavaca of Śmaśānakālī, also called Kālikākavaca. It documents a specific protective use of Kālī worship and should be distinguished from several other works circulating under the general title Kālī Kavaca.
