Description and curator notes
The gods praise Kātyāyanī through a succession of names and protective forms. The opening invokes Kauśikī, followed immediately by Kālikā, Kālī and Cāmuṇḍā; Kaumārī appears in the next verse. The hymn combines these identities with descriptions of weapons and divine powers and requests relief from danger. It offers direct textual evidence for a particular devotional synthesis of Kātyāyanī, Kālī and the Mother-goddess forms.
