Description and curator notes
Koirala presents a sustained Nepali-language study of Dakshina Kalika at Pharping. Beginning with the geography and religious setting of the settlement, the article turns to the goddess, the development of the shrine and accounts of its patronage. Later sections discuss its festivals and ritual observances, the management and support of worship, and historical documents connected with the institution. The final pages reproduce documentary material rather than ending with a modern bibliography. For a Kali library this is a direct regional study of a particular living shrine, bringing local religious traditions into conversation with written evidence. Its value is greater than a tourism overview, but the historical claims and traditional narratives need to be distinguished when cited. The article is available in Nepali only; no English translation accompanies this scan.
