Description and curator notes

Studies stereotyped portrayals of Indian religions in American Golden Age comics. The sustained Kali discussion on pp. 187–189 analyzes horror narratives and their colonial and literary antecedents. Descriptions of Kali as murderous are the comic creators’ representations, not established facts about the goddess or devotees.

Curator supplement exported 8 November 2026, collecting sources found 5–7 November. Publication dates above date the cited works, not their discovery or repository upload. The complete-work language does not include languages used only for abstracts or summaries. Full-reading checks and their dates below are attributed to the supplied curator document; this intake does not claim to have repeated those external full-text checks.
